Branded Tableware
Branded Tableware from Dine By Design
The quality of tableware in a restaurant or catering establishment is as important as the quality of produce and service; high quality tableware projects professionalism and organisation for any catering establishment. However, sometimes professionalism and organisation alone just won't do - any credible restaurant or catering establishment will also project distinction with its tableware.
What better way to project professionalism with distinction than with personalised, branded tableware?
We here at Dine By Design offer a professional tableware branding service to give the most prestigious catering and restaurant establishments the ultimate feeling of individuality at the highest quality possible; so trusted is our branded tableware service, that we were asked to do the printing for the tableware - complete with the genuine White Star Line logo - for the up and coming Titanic television series, which will be shown to mark the 100th anniversary of the ship's maiden voyage and sinking on ITV this April...
Even if you're not exactly a film producer, you will still get the outstanding service and prompt customer support that only we at Dine By Design can offer if you choose us as your tableware specialists; this service, as well all of our other services, is offered at a highly competitive price, without compromising on the quality and efficiency of the tableware service.
How is tableware branded?
1) After the design for the tableware has been created using computer software, the design is then transferred onto a transparent film, which is then exposed directly onto a silk screen to produce the stencil of the design. The silk screen is then loaded onto a semi-automatic printing machine and ink is then applied to the top side of the screen. After loading a specialist water-slide transfer paper a robotic arm with squeegee then presses the ink through the stencil of the screen directly onto the paper
2) Believe it or not, everything else from here is done without the use of complicated machinery; now that the design has been printed onto the transfer paper it needs to be placed onto tableware in preparation for “firing” in a kiln.
Every single design is placed by hand onto the tableware by means of water-slide transfer application by an experienced team, who can produce hundreds of branded tableware items a week.
3) After a quick inspection to make sure that the designs are all in the right place on the tableware, the porcelain is then loaded into a kiln and “fired” (heated) at over 1100 degrees until the design sinks into the glaze of the porcelain and becomes part of the tableware.
4) The amount of times tableware has to be “fired” depends on how many colours are featured within the tableware design; for example, when our first class Titanic tableware was created, it was fired a total of 3 times for the blue used, the central “White Star Line” logo and the gold colouring.
